LTwo Battery

The new generation LTwo™ battery offers simple easy installation. As it says in the title, it’s a battery version of the luminaire with battery contacts to click in place. This is the ultimate ‘lamp luminaire’, easy to install and de-install-no new wiring is required. This opens up possibilities to ‘future proof’ a lighting design’ where replacements with alternative optics, colour temperature, or wattage can be used in the future space. This can adapt a lighting design for new applications or tweak an existing design. This approach is already proving successful with a client who required a higher intensity of light over counter areas, post installation. The existing optic has been replaced by a tighter beam version.

The system offers a versatile circular approach and is as easy to change as a new lamp. Two™ battery also complies with SLL TM66. Fixtures can be reused and repurposed according to the design requirements. And no additional installation costs or disruption.

LTwo™ is SELV at 48Vdc and can be safely installed without the need of professional electricians for replacement. This offers end users and building owners enhanced safety and reassurance and cost savings, which can be considerable with multiple buildings to consider.

A key part of Architectural FX’s integration philosophy is finding ways to design lighting into smaller and miniaturised spaces and furniture. The development of the battery LTwo™ forms the next stage of this journey. It allows us to reduce the overall depth (previously taken up by the magnet version) to 22mm whilst retaining the same optical control, output and tiltability of the luminaire.

Like the magnet version of LTwo™, the battery fixture can be mounted onto and into architectural structures and details.

The battery system offers the potential to be a lighting solution for Cat A fit out.

· For the contractor -installation costs are much reduced, with the installation of the battery end caps. Fixtures are also well priced for quality and performance.

· For the lighting designer and engineer- technical features comply with a UGR of >16 for the tightest compliance to EN12464.

· For the architect-the slim unobtrusive design will hopefully align with their aesthetic demands.

· For the Client – the financial and sustainable savings on wastage should be appealing.

Other applications for the battery system include cove lighting, ceiling integration, task lighting, shelf lighting and many more.
