Lighting focus at Phoebe Philo
The new Phoebe Philo store at Dover Street Market, London opened in November 2024. It proudly showcases the brand’s leather goods, footwear, accessories and ready-to-wear collections. The interior backdrop is elegant, bright and functional.
Lighting Design is by Akritas Lighting Design and the narrative is based on localised lighting. Architectural FX is proud to be part of the solution. General lighting was kept low, with the lighting focus entirely on the products. Akritas Lighting Design direct light only where it’s needed, resulting in a visually striking solution. This solution is very sustainable and avoids unnecessary energy consumption.
Architectural FX supplied Integrate 4 linear luminaires to light the hanging racks. Here, the task demanded a seamless diffuse line of light. Also, a desire for high-quality colour rendering. Integrate 4 offers excellent colour rendering of CRI 97 and R9 90. Fabrics and finishes are thus seen in their true, vibrant colours—exactly as intended by the designer.
Other products specified included high-colour-rendering LED downlights to provide precise illumination. And lightboxes integrated into the top of the bespoke vitrine and into removable shelves.
All luminaires are Casambi Bluetooth-enabled, allowing for easy adjustments and the creation of an ideal ambience to suit any occasion or display requirement. The system offers fully flexible control.
