Berkeley Square is a traditional London square in the heart of Mayfair, surrounded by residential buildings. Many famous residents once lived in these homes, such as Winston Churchill, George Canning and Charles Rolls, among many others. In later years, a large number of the buildings were transformed into shops and recently into modern-day offices.
With its romantic heritage, Berkeley Square has become one of London’s most sought-after addresses. One notable address is 25 Berkeley Square – a Grade II-listed building overlooking Berkeley Square within the Mayfair Conservation Area.
We were delighted to be appointed to supply the lighting for 25 Berkeley Square and to help to celebrate the historical and architectural heritage of the building, while being mindful of its surroundings.
Our linear lighting, all in warm tones, was specified for the window reveals and balcony. Each Architectural FX product was custom-made to match the RAL colour of the stone wall so that the product blended seamlessly into the architecture. This helped to maintain a balance between highlighting the various architectural details and keeping the light fittings subtle and discreet.
